Tell us a bit about the business that you are creating?
My Making Magic Happen Academy has been created so that I can continue to do what I am passionate about…helping aspiring authors get published. I will be launching my academy later this year that will incorporate my passion for attracting a dream life with writing a book. I will be announcing my first Making Magic Happen Academy Retreat soon. I do love to Make Magic Happen and successfully hosted my first retreat in an Irish Castle in March 2017, I am now passionate about the potential growth that can happen in 5 nights in an amazing location.

What are your three core values in your working life right now?
Love, Sharing and Knowledge.

What’s the hardest part of running a business from home?
Distractions, No 9 to 5 and work life balance.

What’s the most rewarding part of running a business from home?
I absolutely love working from home, I am there for my family and I can be flexible when needed, and I choose to be home based because it works for me.

What fears did you have about starting your business?
No fears as I see challenges as opportunities to grow. Manifesting my perfect business does not have room for fear. x

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in running your home based business?
Something I have learned is that taking the time to get on top of keeping my space nice helps me to be more productive and my mind is free from the cluttered thoughts of having the tidying up to do after the work. I now tidy first.

How do you find the right balance between being a partner, wife or mother and running your business?
I connect with my instinct and project love on the aspect of my life/business that needs it at any given time. I know what matters to me and I do manage a lot but I am pretty efficient and very loving so I do my best. Not forgetting to keep some time for me too so that I can give my best self to others.

On a scale of 1-10 how much does your business light you up?
10! I love what I do. The fact that I have been an integral first step onto the publishing ladder for many authors fills my heart with joy. My Making Magic Happen Academy is coming together wonderfully and to think that I will be living a life inspiring others to live their dream life and publish their books I feel very privileged indeed.

What do you wish you had in your business that you are still seeking?
More time to do more amazing work. x

In moments of doubt, how do you overcome it and lift yourself back up?
I take time out! Simple, if I am feeling like that then I need a break. My favourite place to go is to my local beach with my kids.

Who is your support crew if you have one?
Family, hubby, Ausmumpreneur network

What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve been given?
To pursue my potential.

What’s a brief summary of the pathway it took to get to where you are now?
Factory Supervisor, Administrator, Special Needs Tutor, Writer, Publisher, Life Coach.

How important is grit, determination and persistence to you in growing your business?
It takes a lot of all of the above to succeed.

Which of your personal traits are you most proud of?
My Zest for life, passion for inspiring and that I am loving.

What is the hardest thing about being your own boss?
Having boundaries.

What sacrifices have you made starting a business?
Financial and my precious family time.

Where do you find inspiration for your work?
In my heart and in the people I surround myself with and the experiences I have.

Who’s a woman you deeply admire?
Myself in ten years time. x

What do you still want to achieve on a personal level?
Nothing at all. I am happy with what I have accomplished and will keep doing what I am doing.

What do you find most frustrating about your home workspace?
It is not yet my vision.

What is your favourite thing about your workspace?
That it is in my home and I can access it freely.

Name one thing you can’t live without each day.
Coffee, hugs and my diary.
