For 18 years, I had been working for many clients doing everything from designing gardens, to renovation planning, large interior design projects, furnishing and styling homes Truth is, I was trying to be everything to everyone. On top of this, I was raising our three children. I loved what I was doing but I was running myself ragged trying to do so much and juggle a family too.
I started moving in circles of female entrepreneurs, signing up for high-end programs to improve my business skills and focus wholeheartedly on creating a business that I was really excited and passionate about. What I found out during this time is that what I love most was working and talking with other women in business who are striving to do exactly the same thing as me…to create a business and a life that they love….on their terms.
It was then that the penny dropped and I knew I could help them, as many of them were working from home or a little office somewhere outside the house, but many reported that their workspace was a shambles, less than ideal and not really making them feel happy or successful. I love my little office space and whilst I get sick of being in it some days….tap, tap tapping away on the computer, I felt a sense of peace and joy being in it because it was personal and a reflection of me.
When I looked around I saw a creative, organised space and it made me feel really lucky to be working from home. But I knew this was uncommon and that the spare room with its beige walls, mismatched furniture and hodge-podge style was more the norm. Another thing that I knew for sure was that a disorganised, soulless space is not at all conducive to creating a thriving business and a happy you. I knew how important it was to get it right.

Q: How long will the class lessons take?
A: There are 6 modules plus fun sheets to complete. You can pace it to fit your own lifestyle. You can take it slow over a few weeks and work on your workspaces or you can throw yourself into it and get your workspace looking amazing within a few weeks. It is your choice and a woman’s prerogative 🙂
Q. What if I still feel overwhelmed and confused working through the class?
A. If you are feeling overwhelmed by the class, chances are you are rushing through it and not taking it step by step at a pace that ensures you are happy and confident with what you are doing before moving on. Slow it down, complete everything thoroughly. Also, you can always come back to it. If you just need another opinion or some advice, then post your question on the Private Facebook Page and I’ll jump in or the other members can share their wisdom and insights.
Q. I’m not sure if I should spend the money, couldn’t I save the money and try and do it myself?
You absolutely can try and create your workspace design for yourself but if what you’ve been doing isn’t working for you, then these classes help to take you step-by-step, in small bite-sized chunks. This means that you are covering all the basics and are given the tools and resources to do it. It will save you a tonne of time, confusion and money.
Q. Do I have to work from home or be a female entrepreneur to do this course?
A: Not at all but I will speak in the class about running a business and the associations with working from home. Anyone who has a home office and wants to create a beautiful home office environment are free to join this program.
Q. How long do I have access to the workshop content?
A: You have access to the life of the course to the information, from any computer, anytime, anywhere you can get internet access.
Q: How is the workshop delivered to my computer?
A: After you have made your payment online, you will receive an email with your login details. From there you can log in to the Design School and access the material. You can access the course from any computer as long as you know your login details. You have full access to the course for the life of the program.
Q. Can I share this information with my friends?
A: The course only allows you to access the lessons via private login. I would also appreciate that the resources that I have taken years to put together be kept purely for my students use as they are protected by copyright. I trust you to understand from one woman to another, that we all need to do the best by each other.
Q: What if I am unhappy with the course?
A: We would never want you to be unhappy! If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, contact us in the first 14 days and we will give you a full refund however you must show evidence that you have completed at least three modules and the associated workbooks.
Q: Do you need to be good with a computer to do this course?
A: You will be using quite a few online learning tools, searching online stores, saving images to your computer and filling in your online fun sheets. This requires some basic to medium computer skills which most women can handle easily enough.
Q: How do I know if the cost of the course is worth it?
Employing your own designer or on taking an interior design course can cost you thousands of dollars. Not only will you learn so much about your personal style and the process of designing a room you will be equipped with some great tools that you can use for designing your other spaces. The time and money you will save by making the right purchases will mean the program is great value for money. Remember I am sharing design knowledge which has taken me over a decade to accumulate.
Q: What do I do if I experience any technical problems with the workshop?
A: Please contact us and we’ll guide you through any technical issues as soon as possible.
Q: I notice that you are from Australia. Will the course work for me if I am in another country?
A: You will notice some spelling differences and I will talk in metric. I and am aware that some of the terms used vary between countries and I have taken that into account when creating the course wherever possible.
